Solvay and Saudi Aramco plan to builds new hydrogen peroxide plant in Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia Kingdom. The hydrogen peroxide plant will be in commercial operation in second half of 2015.

Dow Chemical abides $2.5 million punishment at its Midland plant, due to violation against air, water and waste regulations between 2005 and early 2007. The violations were found by EPA inspectors.

Ledakan yang terjadi di power plant milik Kleen Energy pada tanggal 7 Pebruari 2010 yang lalu, di Amerika Serikat, mendorong Chemical Safety Board (CSB) untuk melarang penggunaan gas alam atau natural gas untuk keperluan gas blowing. Gas blowing yang dimaksud adalah untuk membersihkan perpipaan dari kontaminasi sisa pengelasan atau kotoran lainnya sebelum digunakan.
Gas blowing operation dengan menggunakan gas alam yang notabene merupakan flammable gas menciptakan kondisi atmorferik yang sangat berbahaya. Kondisi atmosfer yang siap meledak kapan saja ketika terdapat sumber api atau panas.
